Now we come to a very rare find - new
homes by the beach! In all of Southern California, I don't know of any new area
of this magnitude where you can walk to the beach.
San Pacifico boasts a pool, tennis
court, basketball court, an RV storage lot, and walking trails. You can take
the trail to the lagoon, or walk over the bridge to South Carlsbad State Beach.
Here's a scene of some San Pacifico
homes on the bluff overlooking the Bataquitos Lagoon. The lagoon stretches for
3 miles inland from the ocean. San Pacifico has a very pleasant walking trail
that will take you to the bluff's edge. The least expensive homes in the area
are these "Ocean Walk" or "Vistamar" homes. They are detached homes with small
yards and common driveways, which means your cars have to be in the garage or
on the street. It's a little tight, but that's normal for being close to the
beach. These homes range in size from 1800-2200 square feet, and sell in the
$700,000s.
This is the community pool for San
Pacifico. Where else can you get an almost new home with the beach, pool,
lagoon, and tennis court for this price? It's a good life! A more expensive
neighborhood of larger homes is the "Santander" community. Some of the
floorplans have a small guest house ("casita") in front, which are quite
popular for a teenager or a home office. These homes range in size from
2350-2800 square feet and sell in the $800,000s and $900,000s.
The largest homes in the area are
these "San Sebastian" models. These homes range in size from 2800-3700 square
feet and are priced in the $900,000s to over $1.1M.
This is only place in Carlsbad where
you can find homes of this size walking distance from the beach
